English country wedding at Stapleford Park

Ooops, no blog posts for a while as I've been so busy. I've recently received a load of stunning photos from brides I did over the summer, so I'll be putting those up in the next few days. Starting with this bride, Becky who got married at Stapleford Park near Melton Mowbray over the August bank holiday weekend. Photography is by Arabella Carter-Johnson at http://www.colourwhite.com/. Stapleford is the most stunning venue I think I've ever been to and Arabella has captured some amazing shots. I think Becky looks stunning.

24th July 2010 - Bride Jo at Derby Cathedral

This is my lovely bride Jo. Jo got married at St Barnabas Cathedral in Derby last Saturday. I just love this picture and thought I'd share it. Jo was one of the loveliest brides I've met and I really enjoyed doing her makeup. Jo is even going to model for me this month when I do a photoshoot!

Bridal Shoot for Martin Charles Couture

This week I popped over to Aldwincle in Northants to do a bridal shoot for Martin Charles Couture. Martin makes the most amazing dresses and the shoot took place in a disused church, which provided a fantastic backdrop for the stunning shots. Photography was done by Rachel Barnes http://rachelbarnesphotography.co.uk/ and these are just a couple of taster shots from the shoot. Even though it was throwing it down all day, I really enjoyed doing this shoot.

Belvoir Castle - My favourite venue

I love doing weddings at Belvoir Castle. Aside from the fact that it's only ten minutes from my home and so I don't have to travel very far, I really enjoy going there. It's such a beautiful venue overlooking the Vale of Belvoir. Here are a few pictures from Tanya's wedding which I did last November.

Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes Pencils - colouring for grown ups

Do you ever get that instant 'I have to have it' feeling when you see something that makes your credit card winch? That's how I felt when I saw this MUFE Aqua Eyes limited edition set in a recent video from Pixiwoo. It took me all morning to track one down as they had all sold out in the UK, but the lovely ladies at MUFE Dublin had a stockpile of them and were able to ship it out to me. At 250 Euro, it isn't cheap, but when you get all 25 colours from the range, all full size I think it was worth it. I've tested these out over the last week or so and I absolutely adore them. Not only are they waterproof (they lasted through a couple of showers on the back of my hand), they stay on the waterline for hours and the colours are amazing. These are going to be a staple in my kit from now on.
