Theme: Ballet Dancer Location: Wollaton Hall Photographer: Gina Dover-Jacques Make-up Artist: Rochelle O'Brien When I'm not doing bridal makeup I like to get a bit more creative and do something a little different. When Gina Dover-Jacques (Photographer) approached me about doing a Ballet themed shoot I was very excited to get involved in the project. Wollaton Hall was the chosen location for the shoot to get the atmosphere right for the theme. To be a little more creative the skirt was made of just two bits of net made to look like a dress and it was shot taken in the tower room at Wollaton Hall. It just about killed me carrying my kit all the way up to the top (66 stone spiral steps if you're interested) but the room was amazing and the light looks gorgeous in these pictures. Then we had a quick change of makeup and literally only had five minutes to do a change as the Hall was closing and they wanted us out. We then changed the makeup to dark eyes and yes, that is Batman in the background!

Sasha's vintage bridal makeup and hair, 1940's style
Bride: Sasha Make-up Artist: Rochelle O'Brien Hair Stylist: Charlotte Wesson Photographer: Lissa Alexandra I'm always so pleased to get official photos from my brides, they just don't compare to anything I take on my BlackBerry. So when I saw that my bride Sasha from 30 March is featured on Love My Dress blog today, I had to do my own blog post about it. There are so many amazing pictures taken by Lissa Alexandra but I've picked out a few of my favourites. I had loads of fun with Sasha who had to be convinced to go for the red lipstick which you can buy it HERE at (Colour is Alabama) as she was a little unsure at first, but I'm so glad she did as she looks amazing. Sasha and her bridesmaids beautiful vintage hairstyles were created by Charlotte Wesson, always a pleasure to work with.
Now i'll let the pictures do the talking, if you want to see the rest, take a look at...

English country wedding at Stapleford Park
Ooops, no blog posts for a while as I've been so busy. I've recently received a load of stunning photos from brides I did over the summer, so I'll be putting those up in the next few days. Starting with this bride, Becky who got married at Stapleford Park near Melton Mowbray over the August bank holiday weekend. Photography is by Arabella Carter-Johnson at http://www.colourwhite.com/. Stapleford is the most stunning venue I think I've ever been to and Arabella has captured some amazing shots. I think Becky looks stunning.

Bridal Shoot for Martin Charles Couture
This week I popped over to Aldwincle in Northants to do a bridal shoot for Martin Charles Couture. Martin makes the most amazing dresses and the shoot took place in a disused church, which provided a fantastic backdrop for the stunning shots. Photography was done by Rachel Barnes http://rachelbarnesphotography.co.uk/ and these are just a couple of taster shots from the shoot. Even though it was throwing it down all day, I really enjoyed doing this shoot.
